Django Who? She’s Shadow

IMG_0568

Black is the sexiest color ever! I saw this jacket at Eloquii and was getting all kinds of feels. It has so much character and you can do so much with it; throw on a fitted skirt, slacks, wear it open, closed, or even do a slogan tee or turtleneck, again so much. The jacket being the baddie that it is, I wanted to tap into that militant persona it held. After doing so, I couldn’t see past the feminine/masculine trend I knew I needed to commit to! Am I the only one who believe women are the sexiest when adding a male’s touch? I attribute this to the genic hybrid of the Wo-man. This fashion trend speaks to the essence of a woman- her being. This trend tells her story.

I didn’t want to interrupt the fierceness of this jacket with color, so I opt to take black even blacker. These denim high waist jeans from City Chic online were a hard hit. Did I ever tell you I live for the Harley jean? Any-who, I wore my jacket as a top verses a jacket because it is the “Soul Snatcher” in the entire look. For some reason I marveled at the idea of concealing some sort of weaponry. In order to do so, I placed a faux leather gold plated belt amongst the gold buttons and wore black booties that are trimmed in gold chrome around the ankle and toe. Styling the ensemble this way, in my mind, all the metals gave me come extra cutting edge, which translates to a few sharp knives, lol. There was no other way to finish this look than with a beastly hat.

Before I knew it, I felt like the original Django, but this girl is way spicier and enigmatic than him. You are #noprisonerofyourbody so walk the runway fiercely and fearlessly. See you next runway!

Tips

Tell a story in garment, it helps you put forth more effort.

Don’t think of black as safe, its way too dominant for that.

Belt all coats and jackets this season, you will not regret it.
