Sleeveless

My goal is to always do it the way you've never seen it done. Creativity is my strongest suit and I think I play that hand so well. This look forced me to play my wild card. After trying on this two piece set from Eloquii.mmediatedly fell in love this two piece set from Eloquii. The print in the front and solid in the back- ugh ever so sweet. Not taking the print all the way through prevented print overload syndrome. Of course, I had to fire up this medium sound (Click Here) with my red Zara sock booties and Asos red beret, swanky right? So here we have it, great color combo, awesome fit, but not enough. I checked...

Atomic Color Blocking

Atomic Blonde portrays an elite spy who has a killer punch and a dangerous wardrobe, that consist of black and white color blocking and a pair of red Christian Dior pumps, (which she uses to kill her adversary) for the perfect juxtaposition. In my mind she would totally have worn this dress. Since she wasn't able to, I took it off her hands and channeled my Atomic Blonde - okay okay- I'm a ginger blonde. Neva-the less, I felt so posh in this dress. I wanted to be sure I translated posh with much clarity when I styled this look. My first thought, I knew I needed to pull out my ever so lavish BCBG shoes. These shoes simply allowed...

Brim Meets the Neck

So, this look is fairly basic. There are no abstract prints, rocking fringe or over accessorized novelties. What makes this look a magnet of interest is the analogous color pallet (colors directly beside each other on the color wheel. In this case mine are blue, purple and fuchsia), extremely chic frame work and how the brim meets the hat. Now, lets talk mysterious, shall we? Often times people feel one must have all the bells and whistles to emerge mystic. If that is you, allow me to redirect your thinking. Structure and fabric exaggerations are chosen’s as it relates to a more discrete description of mysterious. Alexander McQueen mastered this art. In the beginning of his career his textiles were extremely...

Curvy Wakanda

Although this look does not echo through the lands as African and neither does it mapquest me to my long-lost tribe, you can not deny its glory or boldness, like the people of the safari and my long-lost tribe. This ensemble screams black (in every form of its meaning), regal, profound, powerful and rich. It was the perfect fit for my welcoming to Wakanda. So, I decided to pay homage to histories first, all-black Marvel, with a curvy slayish dinner and movie meet & greet. I wanted to hone in on and captivate a rare experience. Undeniably, Black Panther, was a long overdue production- not just for the diaspora, but for the world. February 16th Black Panther made history to...

Winter Pastels

Hey Girl, hey! So, I have such a love for cold colors in the late Fall and Winter seasons. When beige, creams, and off whites accompany an outfit with light hues of pastels, as a pop of color, it gives me chills. It puts me in the mind frame of mint refreshers. Let’s just say, if WinterFresh had an outfit, this would so be it! What you think? Well other than looking like minty breath, this look was truly a no brainer. Eloquii did me well when they dropped this high-waist fringe skirt in my view. This is nothing but a vintage piece, just made in modern times. Which makes this skirt as timeless as the first rendition of its...

Boldly Chic by Fe Noel

I ran across Fe Noel on Instagram and immediately fell in love with her garments! If you don't know FeNoel head to her website and get acquainted, she's so bomb! If you know me you know that I love supporting indie designers by adding them to my closet (she literally has something for everybody and then some). I love that Fe Noel will custom make your desired size although sizes range from xs to xl. There is an option for custom by simply putting in your measurements.  Now let's dive into the deets of this classic. The weight of this piece is solid, the linen is thick, but not hot and Fe Noel cut no corners when it came to the...

A New Day with Gucci

I was devastated when I read Merona and Mossimo would no longer be a brand name for Target. I just knew the Victoria Beckham collection was the last collection I’d purchase. After being introduced to Target's new designers, I’m glad to say my devastation was yesterday’s news and cheers to “A New Day”. Target has done a great job up-ing the fashion racks with their new designer brand, A New Day. The collection launched August 27th and I’m far from disappointed. I have to admit the collection is definitely tailored to prim and proper, framed with a high end appeal and enhanced with details like never before. I’m actually feeling the vibes of Tar-zhaay at its best. Target who? Which leads me to...

Luxury Beauty Mark

They say plus has no luxury and I say, darling meet my friend Byron Lars, the man who get the plus size silhouette (smh). There's an extreme amount of passion in his craftsmanship, allow me to explain. Just sit back cross your legs and look pretty while listening to me brag on Byron Lars. As I continue to grow so luscious in my plus size frame, I've dream-pt of a designer who could actually keep up with the direction of my curves. I literally prayed for plus size garments that blend in with Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent and Dior. Something that will glide along this size 18 curves like a snake slithering its imprint in the desert sands of Egypt....

Victoria Beckham -Cape Daisy

You want classic? Well I think you've found it. Victoria Beckham was definitely in for creating timeless, soft, & eye catching pieces. I believe this was by far my fave! Talk about bringing the outdoors in, in this case lets say putting the outside on. Victoria Beckham really captured the art of femininity through nature, by playing with Earth's most beautiful asset, flowers. I dare to say you'd find these pieces in the closets of  Twiggy & Audrey Hepburn back in the 50s and 60s. It's the perfect heirloom because of its modern swing. The entire collection blossomed with preppy adorable brights & clean patterns all watered in sass. Speaking of blossoming & sass, does this skirt love me or...
