Regal

Regal, a whole mood. Yeah, I’m definitely feeling my richest. If I’m not mistaken this is the first two-piece suit I’ve ever worn on my blog. I must say, I love it. ASOS did a great job with this bowtie print burnt orange suit. One thing I found necessary was to continue to up the feminine tone the suit displays. Let me tell you what's crazy. When I paired the bow tie suit with the bow tie blouse, it wasn’t until after this shoot, I realized I was “coordinating” in my John Witherspoon voice. I guess I can say  I'm really tying the knot on bows in this look. Together the look announced its luxurious colonial appearance. It honestly just kinda...

Feline & Fringe

I bought this skirt in spring and knew it would be the center of attention no matter what I paired it with. I toggled and tarried so long to find the perfect tee, before I knew it, it was the middle of fall. At that point I was at ground zero again. Going through my closet looking for something to wear, I came across my skirt and thought, ya know, I still see myself wearing this skirt uber casual- effortlessly casual.  I jumped on the computer and started looking for sweaters or even sweatshirts. Lets just say, me and the leopard saw eye to eye in that jungle. Who said felines can't get along? Anywho, this outfit took the liberty...

New Year & Dripping

You saw this dress and swore I was a fly on the wall who heard you talking about how you were looking for the perfect holiday outfit, right? How I hate to admit, I was not that fly, but I feel you. This dress is definitely what the new year needs. Simplicity with a little extra. I spotted this dress on ASOS and thought, this is it after 3 months of debating! I purchased it in November and realized that I almost missed out on some awesomeness. The fit is a dream, it glides along the silhouette with ease and sophistication. Just an uh-mazing tuxedo/ blazer dress. The stream of glistening fringe gives it some added interest, if you will....

Modern Romanticism

"When you're fluid & solid at the same dang time! Scientifically; My matter changes with the environment Divinely; I'm indestructible!" -Shenell   Girl! I know I’m always claiming a look is by far by fave, but this time I’m for real! I finally styled my Fia Factory top as my heart desired. It’s a beautiful seasonal piece and full of character, so I wanted to fashionably take it to a place that was most fitting.  After contemplating, I knew it needed layering to accomplish a chic and even foreign appeal, besides I did purchase it from Lagos, Nigeria honey. Most recently, I wore this look to a birthday party exactly as I had imagined it. From the time I walked in, to the time I left,...

My Top 8 Eloquii Coats

Heyyy guys!!! Soooo fall is my favorite season. I love how outerwear has an impeccable way of translating as part of your outfit. From belted to statement coats, fall encapsulates a vast variety of my personal style, I hardly ever find the need to take off my coat when entering into a building and neither should you!  I composed this list from Eloquii because truth is, they curate amazing coats year after year that translate to classic and timeless pieces. Check out my list and tell me what your favorites are. You are #noprisonerofyourbody so walk the runway fiercely and fearlessly. See you next runway! Django Who? She’s Shadow

Black is the sexiest color ever! I saw this jacket at Eloquii and was getting all kinds of feels. It has so much character and you can do so much with it; throw on a fitted skirt, slacks, wear it open, closed, or even do a slogan tee or turtleneck, again so much. The jacket being the baddie that it is, I wanted to tap into that militant persona it held. After doing so, I couldn’t see past the feminine/masculine trend I knew I needed to commit to! Am I the only one who believe women are the sexiest when adding a male’s touch? I attribute this to the genic hybrid of the Wo-man. This fashion trend speaks to the...

Classic Irreverence

People often ask, how would I describe my style? I always respond unpredictable. Fashionably, I will replace unpredictable with the style trend, show-off. Showing off is exactly what I’m doing in this outfit. I have this philosophy; one can risk being forgotten unless you show off. One of the things I like most about this look is the color pop of mauve and the large black and white plaid panels. Anyone who appreciates a good clean color pallet would agree, if they don’t remember your name, they will describe this outfit-color first. These are simply not colors you see all the time, together. Strutting these Akira pompom pumps lures you into the classic irreverence trend, I so love. Mixing style trends...

Proceed with Caution, Industrial Fashion Ahead!

As we cautiously veer into the left lane, lets take a moment to think. What has fashion come to? Utility wear is definitely going from hard at work to blazing the runway. Who would have thought road work inspired wear would continue to evolve as it has. I bought this Off-White belt in March of this year. I took me a while to figure out how I wanted to handle it so to speak. Jeans were an option, a pant suit, and of course leather, but I was trapped somewhere between faux fur and tulle. Mixing hard and soft intrigued my fashion curiosity, so I did it! Wide and fluffy tulle would swallow the belt. Pairing this BCBG skirt with...
