Pretty Woman… Big Mistake. Big. Huge

I totally had to borrow those words from Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman (one of my favorite movies). Christian Siriano amazed me yet again, with his poised classics.  All I can say is, it'll be a big mistake if he lets it end here. I must admit I owned nothing this classic until now! As you know this girl is all about details, and apparently Siriano is too. Do you see this over sized collar, scooping decollete and the frontal draping of this wrap dress? If this isn't 50s swing I don't know what is. This look is so soft and feminine yet powerful and distinct. Shenell who...

Fabulous Gracia

That moment you know fabulous when you see it. I'd have to say this was one of my moments! The drama Akira is giving with this Gracia top is freaking amazing. Crop top and bat sleeves =genius. I simply love how the crop in the front drives the eye straight to the elongation of the blouse. The distinction is remarkable. Any blouse that catches a daze from on lookers who are inwardly wondering where did she get her top, is a must have. What can I say, its a statement piece that evolves with trend. Honestly, I wasn't exactly sure how I needed to style this girlie- jeans-no, shorts-not quite, then there was Rachel Roy. Rachel Roy's Aztec pencil skirt...

The Jumpy

Didn't I tell you that I'm trying to be more casual and simple, here's another look (refer to Bohemian in the City). What makes this casual? I didn't over accessorize I stuck with these hooped Curve Culture earrings and I let the jumpsuit be the jumpsuit. Aren't your eyes drawn to what I'm wearing? Let's bring more focus to this cute little number. This ASOS jumpsuit was super fun! I have to admit it has a Bozo bagginess to it, but trust there's nothing goofy or circusy about it. Believe it or not it has so much versatility, you can actually wear this with a cute pair of Keds, flats, or heels. Now, you know me because I have the hardest...

Bohemian In The City

To style this look was crazy for me. What many of you don’t know is, I struggle with putting together casual pieces and still feel trendy. In my personal life, dresses and stilettos make me feel like the best me as a blogger. I typically don’t allow myself too much casual freedom (a natural challenge). There was a particular day Chicago’s weather had me feeling real free and out of my comfort zone. These feelings came at the perfect time, because it summoned me to tap into my Bohemian style sense. Considering I have shackled myself fashionably to dresses, slacks, and stilettos, I wanted this look to convey freedom and anti-conventionalism. I said Shenell, “Dare to break your fashion...

May not be CoCo, but its definitely Shenell

The title speaks for itself, this look is so me! I just marvel over a poised, classic, with a hint of edge outfit. What I like most about this look is, it hits in all the right places. Can you say EVERYTHING!!! This H&M jacket is giving it to the people. It sets the theme for vintage style. The texture, colors and print just jumps at you and takes your attention. To tell the truth (whispers), I kinda feared styling this the “RIGHT WAY.” Because it’s so busy I didn't want to do too much and I surely wasn’t interested in being safe. So what did I do? I had to continue telling the story the jacket was telling. Then...

Boss Chic…WERK!

What should I do during my lunch break? Check voicemails, make phone calls, catch up on emails. There is always tons for a Boss Chic to do, and no matter how big or small the job, she looks fab while at WERK. Often times we jump into careers that require the woman in the suit to show up, but who said it had to be basic and boring? NOT I said the career woman. This look clocks in at professional and funky. I am absolutely in love with these high waist purplish-blue colored slacks from Eloquii. The color alone screams, NO BUTTON DOWN PLEASE! Immediately I knew anytime there is a funky color you need a funky print. Apparently H&M...

Lemonade Hold The Tea

Sooo I was so confused what to call this look. I went from taxi cab confessions to cap off the duster! Then there was lemons, tea, juice and finally lemonade hold the tea. One thing I wasn't confused about was putting together this dynamic look. I pulled out this old duster coat from ASOS and had to restyle it. Last year I wore it as a dress-belted. This year I wanted to make it more street chic. I added the pencil skirt and cute tank which is pretty chic, but where is the street? Hunny this leather baseball cap and leather belt added a dope mixture. When trying to make things fun and complex, play with patterns like I did. The...

Black Bandit, Levels to this Crime

Breaking News!!! Suspect Eloquii is reported to have committed a shearling convertible crime. Stay tuned for your news brief. Witness: When I saw the coat I thought, “Okay this is cute”, I continued with caution to check out the details and there it was, the weapon, unzippable panels. This coat was definitely to die for. A jacket of this magnitude slaughtered the statement piece law. There’s no room for any other criminals to compete. All black was the way to go, the perfect criminal attire. Premeditated, the work had to be chic. High-waisted bell bottoms and a fitted turtle neck, real slayish. This mid thigh length coat robbed eloquence with its accomplice high waisted bell bottoms. Elongation further emphasized the hard core details...
