Brim Meets the Neck

So, this look is fairly basic. There are no abstract prints, rocking fringe or over accessorized novelties. What makes this look a magnet of interest is the analogous color pallet (colors directly beside each other on the color wheel. In this case mine are blue, purple and fuchsia), extremely chic frame work and how the brim meets the hat. Now, lets talk mysterious, shall we? Often times people feel one must have all the bells and whistles to emerge mystic. If that is you, allow me to redirect your thinking. Structure and fabric exaggerations are chosen’s as it relates to a more discrete description of mysterious. Alexander McQueen mastered this art. In the beginning of his career his textiles were extremely...

Curvy Wakanda

Although this look does not echo through the lands as African and neither does it mapquest me to my long-lost tribe, you can not deny its glory or boldness, like the people of the safari and my long-lost tribe. This ensemble screams black (in every form of its meaning), regal, profound, powerful and rich. It was the perfect fit for my welcoming to Wakanda. So, I decided to pay homage to histories first, all-black Marvel, with a curvy slayish dinner and movie meet & greet. I wanted to hone in on and captivate a rare experience. Undeniably, Black Panther, was a long overdue production- not just for the diaspora, but for the world. February 16th Black Panther made history to...

Bad and Boujee

Is it me or can I speak for all of us when I say “I am all kinds of over the winter season” spring, where are you dear? On a brighter side, hibernation hasn’t exactly been torture, it most certainly has given me time to stack up on some spring 2017 inspired pieces. All I can say is this spring seems to be a bit bored with the basic waist.  Waistlines are making some boisterous statements this year and I am here for all of it! From the dainty high waist wrap around bows, utilitarian paper bag waist, to the killer sharp fold over waists, will literally have you never looking at a zipper and button again, and lets not...

Stylitude

Since you must know all my business, I guess I'll share. I've been running a few errands, meeting a fellow blogger for brunch, then I'm headed to a Bulls basketball game for a first date. I figured this cute little number was fitting to wear for the whole day. If you hadn't noticed I love hats but its something about a skirt and hat. It is the perfect sporty-feminine combo, which is totally trending this Spring and Summer. A hat and skirt never seems to fail when you're going for a fun energetic but sexy look. The bad girl leather softened by the lime green zipper jacket will have someone eyeing you at every turn, gambling whether you're getting in...

MAC Cosmetics Skincare Regimen

Hey guys! Let me guess, you want the deets from my very first YouTube video Concocting MAC Cosmetics Skincare for Dry Skin! Perfect, I'm glad you're here! If you read carefully this should be a breeze. Now lets hydrate away dry skin! DID YOU KNOW dry skin is the culprit for wrinkles and aging? It is a known fact that oily skin ages slower than dry skin. Free radicals are environmental pollutants (one definition) that attack the skin. Dry skin is most vulnerable to free radical attacks. Dry skin lacks oil and antioxidants as its protective barrier, allowing free radicals to stick to the skin. Oily skin creates a oil coating, hence making it easier to keep the skin balanced and...

Blacker the Berry the Sweeter the Juice

Happy Valentine's Day!!! Can you believe its Val day already?! I know I'm stunned and I feel even more stunning in my all black ensemble.  Last year I was all about pink and florals, with the perfect touch of red. The concept was all cute and dainty but the mood this year is all about being sexy and mysterious, black is giving me all that! Ladies, black is the anointed color for any silhouette. It glides along every curve with ease and sensuality. Black is definitely the man catcher no doubt, which brings me to this uber cute piece. Now you know I had to show a hint of skin for that extra flirtation. Gitionline had me in love at...
