Seed Planting

So, am I the only one who was trying to remember whether or not Joshua had a tree? No, he didn’t but he planted many seeds. Speaking of which, that’s what I’ve been doing. All summer I’ve been shifting and restructuring to stop clocking into other people’s empires and making them great. The shift has taken some lifestyle changes and some consecrated focusing. Oh, how I’ve missed you dearly; it feels good to peek in and say- hello. Thank you to all who came through the DM checking on me. Just know I got two years to make some things shake. One of the hardest things is to plant seeds you’ve never planted before. Once you’ve planted that which you’ve never...

Eshakti Tailored

It is one thing to have say so in what you wear when shopping for clothes, but a whole difference experience in having a say so in how it’s made for you! Eshakti’s mission is to tailor to perfection. Some of you know I have shared blog posts showcasing garments I’ve designed myself.  I’m all about creating what you can’t buy. However, it can be a bit of a hassle and can suddenly become very expensive. Eshakti makes this process so much easier. I was totally in lala land. There were fabrics, prints, textures and styles of all kinds to choose from. I really enjoyed the idea of a one stop shop and BAM you’ve got a custom dress. For...

Color Block File13

Coffee anyone? Since I’m not a coffee drinker, I’m glad to say this fit are my pumps of espresso. The hot pink, orange, & fuchsia (purple-ish pink) are just bouncing off the walls. With that being said, I don’t think you can look at office wear the same ever again, we’re even Color Blocking File 13. About the Fit This piece was made to ride along the curves for sure. The custom fit laid on my body so well it had me falling in love with myself all over again. Considering how clingy it is, I made sure to wear my tightest fitting girdle to smooth my midsection & lift my lower tummy. Did we just bring sexy back to the office? About the...

Styling my Boyfriend!

So, about this look. It's hard to conjure up words past I love it! Since I know I need to say much more, let me start off with, I've been dying to style a boyfriend shirt. I often attract athletic, super cut gents, which means getting into one of their button downs probably won't work lol, but its all good, Fe Noel took care of that. The details on this button down are right on point. The collar is extra huge and the sleeves, OMG! I've really gotten my share of the extended cuff this season, but this Fe Noel top is my fave. This top is the main focus of my look so I really wanted to make sure...

Fireworking SheIn

Happy 4th guys!!!   I hope you liked my all white dress I decided to sport on this Independence Day.  Today being the fourth, you know grilling, fireworks & loud music are the ways we celebrate, while at the same time jazzing it all up with a cute fit. This SheIn dress is absolutely perfect. It is such an easy wear. Its closure is a back zipper, which is awesome because I don’t have to worry about constantly tightening my belt to keep this wrapped ensemble closed and classy. I can move about the yacht fancy and free. Now, the flexibility is everything! The high split is AH-MAZ with my Jessica Simpson no heel illusion ankle strap pump. On the flip side...

Hellooo Ruffle!

All legs? I know right. So I spotted this dress on Boohoo back in April and thought, "How often do I find something I like that's short & fitted?" It's very rare, I play around with body cons because I find fashion much more interesting and creative when you have to put pieces together. I couldn't resist this particular body con. The stripes and double layered ruffled hem had me at hello. I was all in my head about how great I'd look in it after putting these super fun Sam Edelman sandies with it! After trying it on, I realized imagining this dress on my body was a visual understatement. I was all legs & curves, but loved it!...

Bud Billiken Style

Exactly two weeks ago today, August 12th I made history along with Chance the Rapper as the first plus size blogger in the worlds largest African American parade, The Bud Billiken parade. The parade focuses on the development of CPS for inner city children by giving back to the African American community. This years parade theme paid homage to Hometown Heroes. Now before entering I wasn't familiar with the theme, but how befitting I thought. For the past 11 years I've dedicated my life to saving others mental, emotional, physical, trendy, and fashionable well being. Every time I've influenced growth in someone by simply being me- a transparent display of what a real plus size woman looks, sounds, and behaves...

Wear Time Well-Jord

So about this Jord watch. Jord, you and I have history. Last year I was looking for a gift, something masculine,  unique, and unforgettable for a special some. Suddenly, I came across Jord watches-and it was wood! I tell you, I was all chimed in. This was exactly what I had in mind. Before I go into his (special someone) reaction I have to acknowledge the amazing customer service. I feel a company that goes out its way to please a customer, makes them human & being human is being relatable. Such a connect equals a forever customer in my book. Here's what happened: I ordered the watch via the website through the chat option with a specialist 5 days before...

Victoria Beckham -Cape Daisy

You want classic? Well I think you've found it. Victoria Beckham was definitely in for creating timeless, soft, & eye catching pieces. I believe this was by far my fave! Talk about bringing the outdoors in, in this case lets say putting the outside on. Victoria Beckham really captured the art of femininity through nature, by playing with Earth's most beautiful asset, flowers. I dare to say you'd find these pieces in the closets of  Twiggy & Audrey Hepburn back in the 50s and 60s. It's the perfect heirloom because of its modern swing. The entire collection blossomed with preppy adorable brights & clean patterns all watered in sass. Speaking of blossoming & sass, does this skirt love me or...
