Color Block File13

Coffee anyone? Since I’m not a coffee drinker, I’m glad to say this fit are my pumps of espresso. The hot pink, orange, & fuchsia (purple-ish pink) are just bouncing off the walls. With that being said, I don’t think you can look at office wear the same ever again, we’re even Color Blocking File 13. About the Fit This piece was made to ride along the curves for sure. The custom fit laid on my body so well it had me falling in love with myself all over again. Considering how clingy it is, I made sure to wear my tightest fitting girdle to smooth my midsection & lift my lower tummy. Did we just bring sexy back to the office? About the...

Styling my Boyfriend!

So, about this look. It's hard to conjure up words past I love it! Since I know I need to say much more, let me start off with, I've been dying to style a boyfriend shirt. I often attract athletic, super cut gents, which means getting into one of their button downs probably won't work lol, but its all good, Fe Noel took care of that. The details on this button down are right on point. The collar is extra huge and the sleeves, OMG! I've really gotten my share of the extended cuff this season, but this Fe Noel top is my fave. This top is the main focus of my look so I really wanted to make sure...

Fireworking SheIn

Happy 4th guys!!!   I hope you liked my all white dress I decided to sport on this Independence Day.  Today being the fourth, you know grilling, fireworks & loud music are the ways we celebrate, while at the same time jazzing it all up with a cute fit. This SheIn dress is absolutely perfect. It is such an easy wear. Its closure is a back zipper, which is awesome because I don’t have to worry about constantly tightening my belt to keep this wrapped ensemble closed and classy. I can move about the yacht fancy and free. Now, the flexibility is everything! The high split is AH-MAZ with my Jessica Simpson no heel illusion ankle strap pump. On the flip side...

Hellooo Ruffle!

All legs? I know right. So I spotted this dress on Boohoo back in April and thought, "How often do I find something I like that's short & fitted?" It's very rare, I play around with body cons because I find fashion much more interesting and creative when you have to put pieces together. I couldn't resist this particular body con. The stripes and double layered ruffled hem had me at hello. I was all in my head about how great I'd look in it after putting these super fun Sam Edelman sandies with it! After trying it on, I realized imagining this dress on my body was a visual understatement. I was all legs & curves, but loved it!...

The Black Women’s Expo: Beauty, Branding, & Blogging

I wasn't the perfect panelist for The Black Women's Expo.. so I thought. When I was asked to join the panel for such a huge event I gave the side eye. Then to make it even more troubling, the focused topic was blogging & how to make it a successful business( oh lawd). I struggled with whether or not I qualified for this  topic at this time. Blogging and success did not quite calibrate on my scale as equal parts. Calculating how much I’ve invested versus how much I’ve profited seem to be more reason why I should not speak. Blogging is a difficult and time consuming job, even more so when you’re turning a passion into a business. My...

Latte- Extra Foam

Spring apparently don't mess with us like that anymore. According to Instagram, I wasn't the only one surprised to see snow in the forecast. It was a bother, but let's just call me an opportunist in this instance. After attempting to throw a temper tantrum about the weather, a light bulb went off over my head and I turned that frown into a smile. I was so giddy to wear my scarf and boots (Click Here) . Open toe boots are such a problem for me in harsh winter and it was looking unfavorable to wear this look with my Zara scarf I bought in late November, so the opportunity presented itself once again. The look was all about fluffy layers...

Sleeveless

My goal is to always do it the way you've never seen it done. Creativity is my strongest suit and I think I play that hand so well. This look forced me to play my wild card. After trying on this two piece set from Eloquii.mmediatedly fell in love this two piece set from Eloquii. The print in the front and solid in the back- ugh ever so sweet. Not taking the print all the way through prevented print overload syndrome. Of course, I had to fire up this medium sound (Click Here) with my red Zara sock booties and Asos red beret, swanky right? So here we have it, great color combo, awesome fit, but not enough. I checked...

Atomic Color Blocking

Atomic Blonde portrays an elite spy who has a killer punch and a dangerous wardrobe, that consist of black and white color blocking and a pair of red Christian Dior pumps, (which she uses to kill her adversary) for the perfect juxtaposition. In my mind she would totally have worn this dress. Since she wasn't able to, I took it off her hands and channeled my Atomic Blonde - okay okay- I'm a ginger blonde. Neva-the less, I felt so posh in this dress. I wanted to be sure I translated posh with much clarity when I styled this look. My first thought, I knew I needed to pull out my ever so lavish BCBG shoes. These shoes simply allowed...
